  • 1/2 Cup Canola oil

Quiche Crust

  • 1/2 Cup Half and half

  • 2 Medium Hamburger patties, crumbled into small pieces
  • 1-1/2 Cups Mexican grated cheese

Hamburger Quiche

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.

  2. Mix flour and salt together in a mixing bowl.

  3. Mix water and oil together with a fork then pour into the flour mixture.

  4. Mix well with a fork until you can roll the flour until it forms a dough.

  5. Place the dough onto a floured surface and pat with your hand to form into a small round circle.

  6. Place into a lightly greased large cast iron skillet (approx. 12”).

  7. Gently press the dough, filling the bottom and pushing up on the sides with your fingers.

  8. This amount of dough won’t go all the way to the top of the sides of a large deep skillet (but that’s okay).

  9. Bake for 10 minutes and set the skillet on the stove.

  10. Pour the milk and Half and Half into a mixing bowl.

  11. Beat the eggs well and add to the milk mixture.

  12. Add the mayonnaise with the milk and egg mixture and mix well.

  13. Add the crumbled beef patties.

  14. Mix in the grated cheese.

  15. Pour the mixture into the crust.

  16. Bake for 35 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.

  17. This quiche is thin when baked in a large pan such as a 12” cast iron skillet.
