A Pork Sirloin Chop Meal Served with Broccoli Apple Salad

Want an easy dinner ready to serve when you come home from work? Cook pork sirloin chops in the slow cooker. You can also cook the sirloins on high and have them ready for lunch on the weekend.

Hints for Cooking Pork

Check the temperature of pork whether you cook it on the stove, on the grill, or in the slow cooker. The USDA advises cooking pork until it reaches 145 degrees F before removing it from the stove or grill.

When I checked the temperature of the pork sirloin chops in my slow cooker after five-and-a-half hours on high, it had reached 165 degrees F. The meat was tender, and there was no need for cutting it with a knife. It fell apart easily with a fork.

Serve this pork sirloin chop recipe with my Vegetable Apple Salad. Participants of the 21-Day Fix program will love this healthy fruit and vegetable recipe. Simple to make. Delicious.

Eat a serving each of the wonderfully seasoned Pork Sirloin Chop and Broccoli Apple Salad recipes, and you’ll feel full and satisfied. Great for mid-day or evening meal.

Healthy cooking in the slow cooker has made my life simpler. Finding that pork chops, chicken, and steaks are incredibly easy to do this way has been a delight.

Don’t like to diet?

I don’t either. Eat healthy portions of meals like this pork sirloin and salad, and you won’t feel like you’re on a diet. Changing your way of eating as a lifestyle, not a temporary diet fix, means living healthier.

Yo-yo diets do exactly what they suggest – up and down eating, up and down weight. You must be willing to acquire healthy eating habits for the rest of your life. I’m not a licensed nutritionist or a doctor, but I speak from my own experience of trying different diets.

Add Shakeology to Help Support Healthy Digestion and Weight Loss

Shakeology provides great nutrition. You can drink it as a meal replacement or for a snack. When I started drinking Shakeology, something amazing happened to me after a month or two of drinking the nutritious beverage daily. Hardly any sweet cravings tempted me anymore. Now that seriously got my attention because I enjoy eating great tasting food, and I’ve always LOVED sweets.

Two of my blogging friends began noticing I hardly used syrup on pancakes (the three of us often meet up for breakfast to discuss blogging). They know how much I like breakfast – eggs, bacon, pancakes, grits…and just about anything served for breakfast. I could eat two big pancakes. Now? One 4″ whole-grain pancake is allowed on my 21-Day Fix Eating Plan.

The way I begin my day usually includes a serving of Shakeology because it helps eliminate my snack cravings. I still love breakfast, however, and manage to include eggs and bacon – and, occasionally, pancakes or grits.

Not every restaurant has the option of ordering whole-grain pancakes, but I eat one and bring the rest home. Many times I come home with enough for two or more breakfasts at home.

It’s no wonder I couldn’t lose weight before. It’s easy to see why obesity is a problem in America. We eat too much. Restaurants serve huge portions, and we eat it all – a whole day’s servings in one meal.

If keeping your weight in control is a struggle, try Shakeology. A daily serving helps me keep better control – and it tastes SO wonderful.

I make up my own shake recipes and get excited because they are very appealing to the taste buds. In fact, many of them remind me of real ice cream shakes. Okay, I could go on about the yummy delicious Shakeology. But for now, excuse me while I go work out with 21-Day Fix’s Dirty 30.

  1. I love this idea. Do you think this recipe will work with less water?

Pork steaks can turn out dry if you don’t have enough liquid. I have a friend who cooked steak in her slow cooker (a large oval one) all day with an inch of water. Hers turned out very dry. I’ve cooked steak in the slow cooker with 1/2 cup water, and it was fine.
