October Festive Colors and Foods

Festive October Squash Soup

Pumpkins, orange and red leaves, candy corn, apple cider – autumn things that bring comfort and good memories to mind make me feel excited this time of year.

October colors, holiday foods, and festive candles create home nesting feelings. It makes a homemaker eager to decorate with the rich season of beauty in home and garden.

It’s no wonder that I couldn’t wait to attend my friend’s double baby shower for her two daughters’ little pumpkins soon to be born. The shower menu was a season’s delight for those who love this time of year. Pumpkin Fluff, Scarecrow Crunch, Quiche and a waffle bar were served among many other delights.

Scarecrow Crunch

Growing up in Texas, I loved the Texas Trash version of the Scarecrow Crunch. Whatever you want to name it, have fun mixing up your own version of cereals and snacks.

Quiche for brunch

Egg and breakfast enthusiasts will love a brunch bar that includes quiche. Creamy baked eggs with vegetables is inviting not only to the vegetarian but to all who love eggs cooked any way.

Let’s not leave out the pumpkins. The baby shower decorations were adorable, especially these little boy and girl pumpkins.

  1. Vegetarians eat quiche. Vegetarians drink milk, and eat eggs and cheese, but they don’t eat meat. Vegans don’t eat any animal products. They don’t drink mik or eat eggs. A lot of them do it for ethical reasons. They don’t like to see animals held in bondage.

  2. That pumpkin fruit dip is my kind of recipe–quick and easy. What fruits and other dippers go best with it? I had never heard of scarecrow mix. Can you post a recipe? The pumpkin fluff looks divine, too.

Congrats to your friend on her double grandchildren. She puts together a beautiful buffet. The baby pumpkins are so cute.
